2018 Gone, 2019 Started

Here I am again reflecting on the highs and lows of last year. Some events like spending new years with my family in Carmel, Indiana where a high, I am sure we will all remember playing foosball, having big meals, and sharing stories with ukelele and piano in the background. Some like Anabel taking a sick leave, where I think not so good but then I think it was part of a healing process necessary to move to a different stage in our lives.

I switched jobs to another software company which decreased my hours and increased my pay. Big win for my mid term strategy. However the accomodation was a bit of tough one.Causing me a bit of stress and instability.

Highligths of 2018:

1.  Tampa Bay with Fredy, and Tampa Bay Lighthing hockey game.
2.  May with Jaime and Laure with the kids, playing volleyball and swimming in Columbia, Maryland.  plus Nationals baseball game.
3. FEQ assistance this summer with concerts by Neil Young, Foo Fighters, Greta Van Fleet, Beck.
4. Boston with Anabel and visiting Harvard and realizing how similar looks to Bishop's.
5. Willy and the wedding in Tønder. Great week also with my birthday in Hamburg and signing folk german music.
6. Chicago with my sister and sighseeing on a boat. 

First refreshing discovery of 2019

First musical discovery of the year is this dj musician from New Jersey: Flamingosis.

Tomas is Back

Back  to Lennoxville, the place I spent some amazing years, rich in experiences, very intense ones.. going back after a few years was nice to at least see some familiar faces.. and remember those nice times.. as usually we chug beer and drank heavily.. was a nice weekend.

Seeing Tomas was a good thing.. nice calm guy obviously drinks at the same pace... had Pad kay with Tomas and Adam.. talking about the importance of doing things they mean something not only because everyone is doing it... and we talked about travel.

Berlin Calling

great movie :Berlin Calling. Also funny to see a guy who resembles my friend Marcelo. Even the way he dresses is kind of a resemblance of the guy. The music is good and the fiilm even though is not a hollywood fast paced film it is amusing and chill to watch.

for those who have left... for the moments who made us who we are.. because sometimes we only measure happiness... here is a list  to the good memories .. for one of the biggest lessons in my life that is to size the day and just enjoy the present.

Bye 2015(Great year), Welcome 2016

2015 was a great year, by this time last year I was in Granada having a great trip with my friend Willy after a great new years' eve party in Nicaragua(penitas).

 On the academic side I graduated from Bishop's which makes me a bit proud of myself.

talking about papers I got back my US papers back, and made a road trip with Anabel to go visit my friends Jaime and Laura  in Columbia, Maryland.

I left behind Lennoxville and  got to move to Trois Rivieres with my girlfriend and get to spent more time with my friends here in Sainte-Cecile.  I also attended my first world cup( Women's World Cup Canada 2015) Spain -Brazil with two brazilian friends from post-doctorate studies at the UQTR.

On the professional side I landed a job with a big company which is a huge step in my career, even though the project itself is a bit messy and with an old technology, this a great opportunity for me and makes me feel lucky.

I also spent sometime with old friends like Arnaud having a bit more of contact with summer festivales like the Jazz festival and FEQ with performances (only 4 songs) Foo Fighters and Edward Sharpe. It was great summer.

I also went back to my brother's graduation to Guatemala and I finally I spent a good time with my girlfriend having some quality time together. Was a great year probably the best in the last 3 years, setting the bar really high for 2016. I only feel grateful for everything that happened in 2015 and that came reality this year. Thanks to all and everyone to make me smile.
