On kayaks and holidays

On June 15th I bought after 15 years of waiting my first kayak. While I still don't have space to storage it and decided it was time since with all the covid-19 dilemma traveling is a real hassle these days.

Also this year festivals have been canceled no longer summer is socially fun but more of a long day alone, at least we have sun and great moods.

Canada Day

Yesterday we went for a picnic and a swim at Parc de la Riviere Batiscan, in the afternoon to enjoy Canada Day.  Was a great afternoon with lots of sun and a chill vibe. Anabel tried her Paddleboard and Inwas convinced about it since I gave it a try too.


Pour la journée nous avons amené notre cooler avec la bouffe et ont a seulement pris le plaisir de manger et boire devant la belle nature. Bonne fête du Canada, oui, même au Québec.

St Jean Baptiste 2020

Nous avons décidé avec Anabel de faire du camping pour la St Jean cette année. Après la recommandation de Brigitte La balle, Le Diable Vert nous semblait parfait pour passer 3 nuits dans le bois. Vraiment content de notre choix.

First camping day of 2020

As everyone knows,  we are living through very unique times, and after a few weeks, 8 in total, we finally had access to St Roch de Mekinac, being this a very social place because of the nature of the national park of the Mauricie. Also because Sacha and Stephane are a couple that not only deliver an authentic welcome to their rustic chalet but are always keen to do activities with us. Plus the kids Lucas and Elliot are easily approachable and it is a good opportunity for us to watch them grow.

Adam Smith's the wealth of nations

I finished yesterday the classic from Adam Smith "The Wealth of nations ", and I feel that I accomplished a milestone in my 3conomics reading. However I have to admit that the author lived in a different era than what we understand about the economic mechanics, one can clearly see that he already understands some of the basic principles of international trade, as he might be the one who actually underlines his importance. I will add my notes on the book and my ideas around them soon.
